Gaurav founded NICL after a career in financing energy projects across Europe. He is responsible for the firm’s corporate strategy, capital raising, deal origination and execution. He has over 15 years of experience in financing energy projects across Europe, starting at EY and moving through investment management at Octopus Investments and investment banking at the UK Green Investment Bank and NIBC Bank N.V. He has successfully arranged over EUR 3.5 billion of funding for energy projects and has an international network in the sector.

Gaurav founded a private healthcare business and is a co-founder of an international hydrogen development firm for which he is an advisor to the board. He has a relentless work ethic and starts each day with a meticulous strength training programme at his local gym. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, from Imperial College London.
