NICL Investment Partners make first investment in Polish solar PV development.
Promoting clean energy in Central Europe…
The project and the opportunity…
NICL Investment Partners have joined forces with EPC contractor Škoda to develop and build renewable energy power plants in Central Europe, with the objective of reducing their reliance on fossil fuels. The fund will initially focus on solar photovoltaic projects with a view to expanding into battery storage and green hydrogen production.
“We are currently working on projects with an installed capacity of around 300MW in Poland. Construction of the first 15MW will be completed by the end of 2022”.
- Partner Jan Ondřich commented
"The Polish market is interesting to us due to the country’s heavy reliance on coal.
As a group, we strive for a comprehensive approach towards decarbonisation. Poland is a large market that has proven to be bankable, attracting capital from institutional investors across Europe.
With the expertise we have within the team, we are confident in our ability to deliver and meet our ambition of developing and building over 500MW of new PV plants over the next three years."
